Hospital debuts pediatric-specific ambulance

By EMS1 Staff

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A hospital recently debuted an ambulance specifically made to transport pediatric patients.

The Bronson’s Children Hospital ambulance will be outfitted with specialized equipment for pediatric patients. The interior ceiling of blue skies and white clouds is also featured to calm patients. The ambulance was made possible through fundraisers and donations.

“It’s beautiful,” Bronson Hospital official Terry Morrow told the Battle Creek Enquirer. “It’s going to be something that will let the public know that Bronson Children’s Hospital is here. It’s not something a lot of us think about it until we need it.”

The ambulance is expected to begin to responding to calls April 1.
